The Victim Services Department offer a wide range of services to victims of Crime in Cayuga County with a special focus on child and adult victims of sexual assault, sexual abuse, child abuse and domestic violence. Services are 100% confidential and free of charge. These services include:

Our support group is offered for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We help individuals feel less isolated and alone in what they are experiencing by providing a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for people to talk about their feelings.
Legal representation provided by a lawyer specifically to a mental health clinic, which could include assisting with issues related to patient rights often navigating the complex landscape of mental health law.
The CAC provides a safe and supportive environment for children and families affected by abuse and neglect. Our comprehensive services are designed to ensure that every child receives the care, protection, and advocacy they need.
The hotline is available 24/7 for emergency support or services. If a client needs support getting a SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examination) done or needs immediate support reporting to the police they would call the hotline. Also If they need immediate emergency crisis intervention and safety planning, they can call the hotline.

A professional employed directly by a law enforcement agency whose primary role is to advocate for and support victims of crime throughout the criminal justice process. Law Enforcement Based Victim Specialists Help: Connect to Services: Connect victims with local resources for mental health care, food, shelter, and legal assistance. Provide Crisis Response: Provide on-scene crisis response, safety planning, and referrals for therapy services. Advocate: Advocate for victims' rights and needs with police, district attorneys, and other agencies. Help with Claims: Help victims fill out and submit claims for compensation such as lost wages, medical costs, and damaged property.
The PSB program is composed of the School Age (children ages 7-12 years old) and the Adolescent Program (13-17 years old) Children and Teens can receive either Group or Family Treatment to address problematic sexual behavior. In the Program Children will Learn: · Rules about sexual behavior · Privacy and boundary rules · Coping skills and impulse control skills · Social skills Caregivers (parents, foster parents, grandparents) also must participate in the program. They Learn: · To distinguish normal from problematic sexual behaviors in children · Appropriate responses to children’s sexual behaviors · Ways to prevent problematic sexual behavior · Effective responses to other behavioral problems
